Often I tend to spend an enormous amount of time trying to figure
out how to design one single feature. Typically features where it
is hard to say what will be the perfect or right solution... the
end result easily turns out to be a lot of "unproductive". To make
myself more productive I've found that it helps to have some easy
tasks at hand, that I can pick and complete rather fast - then I
set the completion of that single annoying feature on standby and
complete the easy or simple task.
Then I feel productive, and feeling productive is all ways
nice!
